How to: Floral Jeans
When I was young my mother had me in all sorts of amazing jeans, with different patterns and pastel colours - and recently they have became a must have summer item - but how do we wear them and still look chic?

Something to try on a warm sunday afternoon.
Ingredients:
- 6 pink or yellow grapefruits
- 300ml good quality vodka
- Small bunch of basil
- 200g caster sugar
Method:
- Using a vegetable peeler remove the zest from 3 of the grapefruit and put the zest in a jar. Pour over the vodka and leave to infuse for at least 24 hours.
- Cut all the grapefruit in half and juice - if making ahead of time, freeze the juice until it’s needed.
- Pick the leaves from the basil and add the stalks to a small saucepan with the sugar and 200ml of water. Gently heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved, then cool, strain and chill until needed.
- Put half the basil leaves in a jug, pour over the vodka, 300ml of basil stock syrup and the pink grapefruit juice and stir.
- Fill 6 glasses with ice, the remaining basil and a little pink grapefruit zest (use the stuff from the vodka), and fill with cocktail mix.
When food looks as good as this it makes you want to skip any healthy eating and indulge in something yumptious (pretty sure that I have made that word up but it just felt right).

The one thing that i cant wait for is the summer. Long nights with friends, sipping home made cocktails and eating authentic Italian ice cream from Seaton Deleval Ices. Salted caramel is my favorite.
This summer will be spend with my good friends who have returned from a year long trip to Australia. Picnics and impromptu barbecues are inevitable.

Each new year I begin a list of new years resolutions and each year they last approximately two days. Perhaps I am subconsciously being rebellious. SO! lets try and make a summer to do list and see how many I tick off by September.
1. Have a late night picnic on the beach
2. Take a helicopter ride
3. Get a summer glow (may seem easy to you but really am porcelain)
4. Have perfectly painted nails in pastel tones at ALL times
5. Visit a rural place I have never been to before
What are you planning for this summer?

They always tell you to write what you know, and what you believe in. And that is somewhat difficult when you are not sure what you know or what you believe in. There is always that resounding thought in the back of your mind which makes you think ‘just because I think that is interesting, will everyone else?’. Who knows?
The one thing I know I believe in is that you should always be you - regardless of what anyone else thinks. And so, that is the mantra I will live by. Wish me luck.
